Week 5 Blog
Think about one of your biggest dreams. It can be the one from the "Guess My Dream" activity in class this week or another dream you have. Now it is time to take action to achieve your dream. For your blog this week, please answer the following questions. Don't forget to "dive deep" and really explain why and how you are going to achieve this dream.
1. Briefly describe your dream. Why is it important to you?
2. Describe your plan of action to achieve this dream.
3. What are you doing now to start achieving your dream? (e.g. I am going to college to get my degree, I am spending my money and time wisely to have options for the future)
Please don't forget your blogs are due by Friday, Sept. 29th at noon.
For next weeks class: read Chapter 4: Mastering Self-Responsibility
Have a great week!

1. my dream is to spread my knowledge but on a smaller scale i want to be a teacher, a kindergarten teacher.
2. my plan to achieve this dream is to finish school and start teaching at a young age. i want to get my life together and stable before i start a family. while in school i could get a job working with kids in a daycare or an after school progam. having that expierence could increase my chances of getting a job after school.
3. right now what im doing to achieve this goal is going to class and taking care of what i need to. at the moment im waiting on a response from the mountain about working in the day care. which is exactly the kind of expierence i need. but it's more than just little kids that i want to teach. any way i can reflect on a person i will because then i know that that person will rememeber me for what i showed or taught them.
My dream is to become a successful real estate agent. I always wanted to be a real estate agent my whole life. My father is a contractor, and from a young age I have been exposed to the real estate market. Currently, I am working very hard to achieve my goal by going to CMC and enrolling in the real estate program provided. Once I receive my real estate license I plan on working for a small real estate firm and work my way towards someday owning my own firm.

1. My dream is big. I want to be up on stage playing guitar infront of thousands of people. I want to be in a band thats recognizable for its creative music, deep lyrics, and catchy tones.
2. For one I need to find reliable people who actually want to be serious about making a band. I've been in 6 now and they all go down the drain because the only one that still wants to commit is me in the end. Once that is accomplished "we" will need to go to citys to play at clubs and fests. There are tons of these metal fests that are specifically there for contractors to find bands that have the potential. I know I can create music thats original and clean!
3. I'm trying to get people to be serious in what they do. I am trying to find some people that are creative and have a desire to play music and not just to "jam" every now and then. I for one, to keep myself on track am playing at youth group for the kids in a live band we set up for them. I am constantly presuring myself to play better by practicing everyday and learning new styles of music that could potentially become something great that was made by me. Its tough right now but it is possible. However, for right now, i just need to find people!
My dream is just to be happy and live my live as great as i can. What im doing for this dream? I take alle the possibilitys i get from the live, like being here in the united states and studying abroad. I mean not everyboday has this possibility. For me a great life means to have a own family a good job and many friends. I already have a great life because i have my family and my friends and that makes me happy and to be happy and having a great life is my dream.
To complete my dream i try to find a good job after college and thats why do for it, going to college, because it sounds pretty good in your application if you say, you studied abroad.

Somebody said in class the other day that dreams are unreachable, I personally don't agree with that.
Everyone can accomplish their dreams if they work hard to get them, by setting goals along the way to achieve those dreams.
My dream is to have a beautiful family of my own and a professional career in photography.
Having a family comes first in my dream, but not exactly I want my dream in that order.
I want to have a career first and then a family, I want to be able to support it. I'm not one of those people that marries for the money, so I would like to aport an income to my family.
Having a plan of action is important, you have to start somewhere, for me the first plan of action is believing in yourself, believing that your dream can actually come true if you put hands in action.
Set a plan, a timeline, some groundwork.
Don't worry if you fall sometimes, this is perfectly normal, since nothing in life is perfect. By making mistakes you will learn from them.
For example, I first started studying culinary arts, then hotel management, I figured it out that this wasn't my passion, photography is.
My plan of action is exactly the same as what I'm doing right now to start achieving my dream.
I'm attending college in the United States, getting good grades is the next step for me to transfer to an art institute and start studying professional photography. In photography if you are not the best, you don't succeed. But, that's what I like, I like being challenged, I have been like this since the day I was born. Then I plan going back to El Salvador to open up a photo-studio and working from there I plan to climb all the way up to the best photographers of my country and who knows, maybe in America.
I want to put my natural skills to work and apply them as a writer, to be totally indepedent and strive for great accomplishments.
My plan of action is to keep on trucking. I have taken many classes I've hated over the years and many classes I've loved. I don't expect that to change over the course of my college career. But I will take comfort in knowing that I am choosing my path and will have more and more input on the stepping stones on that path towards my writing dreams. I plan to take many english and writing courses. I will need to regain the love I had of books when I was younger, to build my vocabulary and make myself familiar with various styles of writing. To support myself, I will work to fine a style and field of writing that best suits me. To have a support system, I will look to find a wife somewhere down the road and always experience life in relationships and personal adventures, for that is where writing gets its magic, its vibrant inspiration. To see all these desires fullfilled, I will work towards a english degree, with four years time or however long it takes to get that rewarding diploma.
Right now, I am going to college to get my associate of arts to move on towards an eventual english degree. I am sacrificing time and sanity for my schoolwork, dedicating a lot of time and effort to my courses. I see where I can be better and will work to improve in my areas of weakness.I will work in all my classes to be expressive and steadfast in all my writing assignments in whatever formats they present themselves in. While I am a pretty dedicated student, that gets 90% of my assignments turned in on-time, I will develop punctuality to meet all my deadlines. I will turn to take responsibility for my mistakes and no matter what, no excuses, come to each class on time and ready to work. Such endeavors will ingrain with myself a value of responsibility and dependability.
School will remain a challenge, but I will pursue my goal of being able to eventually find a job, work and go to school, and get a drivers liscense. That in itself, would be a huge increase to my self-esteem.
one of my greatest dreams is to travel the world teaching people outdoor activities and eventually having a family, its super important to me because this is my life and i have been striving for this since i learned that the place that i am happiest at is in the wild teaching and leading kids showing them how to enjoy and love life!
rightnow i am moving towards my gal by cming to this school and getting experience in outdoor activities and learning more and more to be able to get a job working for outward bound.
my plan of action is simply to come here and get as much experience as i can in outdor sports and then once i graduate it will be much ezeyier to get the job.

The dream I would most like to achieve is to be a producer/director/editor or whatever for a major snowboard company. It is important to me because since my junior year, I have been making movies and have completed 2 full length snowboard movies and I thoroughly enjoy it, and it is somethin I would like to do as a career.
To acheive this goal, I will once again be filming all winter long and hopefully find more riders here with a lot of talent because in the past years I've only had a few real good riders. Also I will continue making the movies until they get good enough for recognition.
Right now I am just going to keep on filming and trying to get to know people in the industry, and just excellent riders that people would be excited to see on film. Hopefully one day it will all work out!

1. My dream is to design outerwear for a living and possibly one day open my own company. It is important because i want to be able to make a living doing something i love.
2. My plan of action to achieve this dream is to go to school and learn as much as possible to make it easier for me to achieve this goal. I will go to school for business school and to design school.
3. Right now i am going to school for business and i am currently looking for design schools in denver or even in other places in the country.

1.My dream is to live a few years in Italy and also a few in Maui.
2.The plan to achieve this dream would be a long and hard process. I would have to succeed greatly in buisness and in school alone. I would have to learn Italian culture and ethics. I would have to learn their language.
3.At this point in my life I am just focusing on school, because i dont have that much money to spend. I have money saved up so I think I am spending my money very reasonably. The main reason I want to live in these parts of the world are mainly because there just wonderful places. My family is from Italy so I would be closer to my family.
My dream is to follow the snow for 5 years or so by traveling to New Zealand for our summer (there winter) and move back here for our winter. Then start work running the Block in winter park. How would a dream not be important? Wouldnt it just be your future if it wasnt important.
My plan of action is to finish my AAS then hop on a plane to New Zealand.
I am going to say some money for the flight.
