The definition of success in my terms is to be someone who can accomplish their goals willingly rather than doing what someone else tells them to do. Yeah I’ll agree that in the business world that may be true about accomplishing something your boss tells you to do, but to be a success to yourself, you need to have self determination, devotion, and dedication to what you’re after. Success isn’t always just a winning game. Success is something that, in most cases, must be repeated over and over again until you gain what you were trying to accomplish. Take hockey for a quick example. You just started playing and you’re still learning how to skate. You fall a lot and completely can’t keep you’re balance at all during practice. Yet, after many failed attempts you begin to start catching yourself, and eventually you’re skating like everyone else. In reality this could take weeks or years but the point in this example is that you became successful at hockey through learning and persevering. Success is by definition is being able to accomplish something and take pride in it. It takes time and self-desire to be able to be successful in that particular interest.

What is my definition of success?
My definition of success is for it to be a multi-faceted term that entails each and every part of me. To be a success to me is to trade in victory for weaknesses and to perserve in spite of such weaknesses. Success in college would mean for me to have a support group of friends, a positive self-esteem level, time manangement skills, while alsobeing able to balance academics and leasure activities. Being a success would allow me to let go of the weaknesses that hinder me and to give it my best shot each and every day no matter what happens.

Some people claim that they seem to know the meaning to almost every word. A word itself is a whole new world. Each one has a meaning, some of them a meaning that can change your way of living or pretty much if you really understand it well and you know how to apply it, you can make a word; your lifestyle.
My college profesor asked me last week to explain the meaning of "Success". Being a freshman college student and having a life ahead im not exactly qualified to explain this, but I'll see it from my point of view.
Success is the light at the end of the tunnel, or better yet, I quote "the sky is the limit". It's not a state of mind or something you can touch, it's the way you achieve your goals.
When your parents asked you what you wanted to do with your life, over and over again. And you always slid down from your chair, because this question was too much from you. They where right there asking you the same question, this question that you don't want to answer out loud. why? because if you don't succeed, your own nature tells you that you have been disappointed.
So success, means that you need to stay on the right track, the track that will lead you to the light at the end of the tunnel. Nobody said it was going to be easy, of course it won't be easy, when you work hard for something; and you finally get what you wanted nobody can take that smile from your face. Because it's something that you did by yourself, others can help you on the way, but it's up to you to start walking...

Success is a means of satisfying yourself, whatever it may be. Whether it be adventure or knowledge. it's a way to concur all of your goals and aquire the motivation to set more. Success is a way of climbing the latter of your personal success. It's not a way to gain a career or a high salary to buy the best car or the best house in yuppiesville. it's not a way to prove who is the bigger man or whose the last one standing. Success is this, not cheating, stealing, lying or scrounging. It's gaining the people's trust you love most. It's keeping your word and being strong for you and your peers. Success is commitment. Commitment to be who you are. To be who you want, who you choose to be. It's not surpressing yourself to ignorance and standing your ground. Choosing between your success or the success of others on your behalf. It's being able to wake up at the crack of dawn and laugh at yourself. In closure, success is making yourself pround and well-rounded with your own personal knowlegde of self being.
to me success is looking inside myself and realizing who i really am on the inside not who people want me to be and then being okay with and embracing who I AM!
outward signs for me are staying out of trouble drawing the line in the sand and not crossing it on how much partying i am going to do and standing firm to my beliefs and morals.
success is being a real person not someone fake its knowing yours strengths and catering to them!
success is loving with all your heart, success is being vulnarable and embracing that, its knowing that you could get hurt and still taking the chance, its reaching for the stars while everyone around you simply wish's to reach for the atmosphere!
success is knowing the challenge is and still stepping up to the plate KNOWING that you wont strike out because you are stronger then anything this world can throw at you!

Success... to me it's a feeling, a feeling of accomplishment. When you finish somthing thoroughly you feel complete, at least I do. Sucess is even more satisfying when everything plays out as planned. I dont want to sound cliché but having a gameplan does help out in the strive for success. It keeps you on track (somewhat) and helps manage time. Im not the "planner" type but I bet if I organized my life a little better I would be more successful. Not to say that I don't expierence that successful feeling every once and a while but it could come around a bit more often.
Defining success to me is simple. Did you do what you were trying to do? If so you were successful, if not you weren’t.
Everyone lives their lives to be successful. Whether they want a nice house and expensive cars, or if they want to just be happy and have that feeling that they were able to accomplish something. Being only eighteen years old I think this question is a really easy one to answer. Every kid my age has a vision of how they want their lives to turn out, and in order to make those visions a reality they have goals. If they were able to accomplish those goals then they have been successful. For me, if my life turns out the way I want it to and I'm happy that would make me feel like I have been successful, and I don't need a huge house and expensive cars (athough it would be nice) to feel that way. Even if you had all of the expensive material objects, what would be the point in living if you aren't happy?

Everybody has a vision about how is life should be, and if this vision is coming true, thats the point were I would say I am successful. I don´t need expensive cars and things like that, for me it means to be successful to have a family, many friends and a job that I love. For me it´s not so importent if the job is well paid, for me it´s more importent that I have fun while during worke and that I have a family and friends how supports me in every situation. Success is for me to be happy!!

Success to me is many things, doing my best in school, being a good employee, being a good family member, and mainly accomplishing my goals that I have set for myself throughout my life.
Right now i feel like I'm on the road to success. So far I have accomplished many goals that I have set for myself such as, getting a high school degree, becoming a manager at my previous job, being there for my family during hard times and making my parents proud.
I believe that you can feel successful if you are working hard to reach your goals in life. Right now I'm working to become a real estate agent and to be the first in my family to get a college degree which has been a dream of mine for a long time. Success can come and go.
If you don't stay on the right path you can loose your way and not succeed.

Success is one thing that everyone tries to pursuit. It is a goal that everyone has and has their own definiton of what success means to them. Although people have different goals, there are neccessities in all cases of success. You need to be self motivated, have passion for the subject, and be ready to do any extra work to accomplish your goals. If you want to perfect your reading skills, you have to read everyday and be motivated to learn. For me, I want to be the best snowboarder I can. In the winter, I get out on the mountain as much as possible and try new things and work out all the little kinks until I can do the trick, or something similar. Basically if you want to accomplish your dreams and be successful, you need to be ready to work hard and have a positive attitude about the given subject.
